Elementary School Boxing

NBB is proud to announce our new Youth Boxing program for elementary aged students! Want to learn more about the classes? Read on!

What are the ages for the Youth boxing classes?

Youth boxing is available for all children who are currently enrolled in elementary school. We have two different age groups; one for kindergarten to second grade, and another for third grade to 5th grade.

For Middle and High School students, please view our offerings from Watch City Community Boxing under our free middle and high school boxing classes tab.

What is the basic class format?

The emphasis above all else is on fun! Our Youth Boxing Class is highly structured. Youth boxers will learn fundamental boxing skills and get the blood flowing with some boxing and body weight exercises. Our youth boxers will also compete in team games and relays to create a fun and engaging fitness environment.

What do we need to get started?

Please be sure to fill out a waiver for your child before your first session.  The waiver can be found on our homepage.  From there, register for a class under our “Schedule and Booking” tab.  There is no cost to register for a class, it simply records your name and email address to ensure that your child has a spot in class.  If it’s your first class, we recommend showing up at least 15 minutes before class to learn a little about our program and to help with introductions.

What equipment do we need?

All members should bring athletic clothes and a water bottle.  We have a bubbler on location for those that need refills.  For sanitation reasons, we do NOT provide loaner gloves to our Youth boxers.  You can bring your own gloves, or purchase gloves and hand wraps at the front desk. All other materials for the class will be provided for your Youth boxer.

Can I stay and watch?

For the Youth Class; Absolutely!  Though we won’t have any formal seating, you’re more than welcome to stay and watch the class.  We also have an adult fitness class going on at the same time, so you can get a workout upstairs while your child has fun in class downstairs.  You’re also more than welcome to drop off at the start of class and come back to pick up.  Whatever makes you most comfortable, we can accommodate.

How much does it cost?

We pride ourselves on simple, competitive, and transparent pricing.  Our cost for Youth boxing is the same as our standard classes and can be found on our pricing tab.  Our punch cards can be shared within a family, so you can use the same card as your child or share it between siblings. PRICING

When do these classes meet?

Elementary 1 meets Saturdays at 9:15 am, and Elementary 2 meets at 10:15 am, but please be sure to check the monthly calendar and register for a class through picktime.

For the most up to date times, please check out the schedule and booking section of our website.

A class built on community!

At NBB, we have many things that we take pride in, but there is nothing that makes us prouder than the community we have.  If you have any suggestions, comments, concerns, or just want to reach out and say hello, please do!  We want to build something that caters to the needs of our community, so don’t hesitate to let us know your thoughts!
