NBB is proud to announce our new Youth and Junior Boxing program! Want to learn more about the classes? Read on!
What are the ages for the Youth and Junior boxing classes?
We want to cover all of our bases at NBB while also creating an age appropriate environment for our younger boxers. Our Youth Boxing Class is reserved for all Elementary School aged boxers, and our Junior Boxing Class is catered to our Middle School aged boxers.
What is the basic class format?
The emphasis above all else is on fun! Our Youth Boxing Class is highly structured. Youth boxers will learn fundamental boxing skills, get the blood flowing with some boxing and bodyweight exercises, and will compete in team games and relays to create a fun and engaging fitness environment.
Our Junior Boxing Class is all about beating up the heavy bag! Members will go over the basics of boxing, and then gear up for a fast paced (but always accessible) heavy bag and bodyweight work out. Kids will be sweating as hard as they’re laughing in this fast paced and fun environment.
What do we need to get started?
Please be sure to fill out a waiver for your child before your first session. The waiver can be found on our homepage. From there, register for a class under our “Schedule and Booking” tab. There is no cost to register for a class, it simply records your name and email address to ensure that your child has a spot in class. If it’s your first class, we recommend showing up 15 minutes before class to learn a little about our program and to help with introductions.
What equipment do we need?
All members should bring athletic clothes and a water bottle. We have a bubbler on location for those that need refills. For sanitation reasons, we do NOT provide loaner gloves to our Youth boxers. You may bring your own gloves, or purchase a glove and hand wrap bundle at the front desk for $45! All other materials for the class will be provided for your Youth boxer.
Junior boxers need hand wraps ($5 at the front desk), but can elect to use our loaner gloves available on site. We sell adult gloves (suitable for Middle School students) for $45 on site as well.
Can I stay and watch?
For the Youth Class; Absolutely! Though we won’t have any formal seating, you’re more than welcome to stay and watch the class. We also have an adult fitness class going on at the same time, so you can get a workout upstairs while your child has fun in class downstairs. You’re also more than welcome to drop off at the start of class and come back to pick up. Whatever makes you most comfortable, we can accommodate.
For the Junior Class, parking can be tight. Though we don’t require parents to drop off and pick up, it would be preferred that parents don’t stick around for the class. Of course, if this is an issue or concern, please reach out to any staff member and we’ll do our best to accommodate any requests.
How much does it cost?
We pride ourselves on simple, competitive, and transparent pricing. Our cost for Youth and Junior boxing is the same as our standard classes and can be found on our pricing tab. Our punch cards can be shared within a family, so you can use the same card as your child or share it between siblings. PRICING
When do these classes meet?
We currently run Youth Boxing Classes Monday afternoons at 6:00 pm and Saturday mornings at 9:30 am. Our Junior Boxing Classes meet 4:30 pm on Wednesday and Friday afternoons (starting May 2023).

Are scholarships available?
At NBB, no member will ever be turned away due to the inability to pay. Let us know of any financial situation you have and we’ll take care of you.
A class built on community!
At NBB, we have many things that we take pride in, but there is nothing that makes us prouder than the community we have. If you have any suggestions, comments, concerns, or just want to reach out and say hello, please do! We want to build something that caters to the needs of our community, so don’t hesitate to let us know your thoughts!
