Youth Boxing

NBB is proud to announce our new Youth Boxing program! Want to learn more about the class? Read on!

What are the ages for the youth boxing classes?

Our youth boxing classes are specifically catered for kids between the ages of 6 and 10 years old.  If you have a child that is outside of that age range but are interested in youth classes, send us an email and we can likely accommodate.

What is the basic class format?

The goal of the youth boxing program is to create a fun and engaging space where members can learn the fundamentals of boxing, get in a great workout, build confidence and discipline.  There is no contact in class, and members will never be asked to punch each other.  We start class with a stretch and dynamic warm up to get the blood flowing, we cover some basics of boxing technique (stance, punches, positioning), we put our practice to work by attacking the bags, then we cool down and refine the basics again before heading home.  Each day is different, and we’ll be focusing on various areas of boxing, but the goal of class is fun, fun, fun!

What do we need to get started?

Please be sure to fill out a waiver for your child before your first session.  The waiver can be found on our homepage.  From there, register to a class under our “Schedule and Booking” tab.  There is no cost to register for a class, it simply records your name and email address to ensure that your child has a spot in class.  If it’s your first class, we recommend showing up 15 minutes before class to learn a little about our program and to help with introductions.

What equipment do we need?

All members should bring athletic clothes and a water bottle.  We have a bubbler on location for those that need refills.  For sanitation reasons, we do NOT provide loaner gloves to our youth boxers.  You may bring your own gloves, or purchase a glove and hand wrap bundle at the front desk for only $15! All other materials for the class will be provided for your youth boxer.

Can I stay and watch?

Absolutely!  Though we won’t have any formal seating, you’re more than welcome to stay and watch the class.  We also have an adult fitness class going on at the same time, so you can get a workout upstairs while your child has fun in class downstairs.  You’re also more than welcome to drop off at the start of class and come back to pick up.  Whatever makes you most comfortable, we can accommodate.

How much does it cost?

We pride ourselves on simple, competitive, and transparent pricing.  Our cost for youth boxing is the same as our standard classes and can be found on our pricing tab.  Our punch cards can be shared within a family, so you can use the same card as your child or share it between siblings. PRICING

When does it meet?

We currently run youth boxing Monday afternoons at 6:00 pm and Saturday mornings at 9:30 am. For the most up to date times, please check out the schedule and booking section of our website.

Are scholarships available?

At NBB, no member will ever be turned away due to the inability to pay.  Let us know of any financial situation you have and we’ll take care of you.

A class built on community!

At NBB, we have many things that we take pride in, but there is nothing that makes us prouder than the community we have.  If you have any suggestions, comments, concerns, or just want to reach out and say hello, please do!  We want to build something that caters to the needs of our community, so don’t hesitate to let us know your thoughts!
